Problem
Seven restaurants, one shared phone line, and a booking book that lived on a clipboard. Diners gave up before anyone picked up.
Built
One booking engine for all seven venues. Live table holds, SMS confirmations, and a menu editor the GM updates in minutes, not emails to us.
Result
+38% online reservations in the first quarter. Phone bookings fell by half — the line's free now for people who'd rather talk to a human.
Problem
Their old site took six seconds to show a single project photo. Clients judged the firm's craft by a site that couldn't get out of its own way.
Built
A hand-coded image pipeline, no CMS bloat, lazy everything. Forty projects, thousands of photos, served like the firm builds: precisely, with nothing extra.
Result
0.7s average load, full galleries included. Bounce rate down 41% — people now stay long enough to see the work.
Problem
The old landing page explained the app. It never asked anyone to download it — one CTA, buried under three paragraphs nobody read.
Built
A page built around one decision: download or don't. Social proof up top, one form field, copy that says what the app does in six words.
Result
Signup conversion went from 4.1% to 9.8% in six weeks. Same traffic, more than double the downloads.
Problem
A theme with twelve apps bolted on, each one shaving off a Lighthouse point. Checkout took four taps too many on mobile.
Built
Stripped back to a hand-written checkout flow and three apps, not twelve. Every image budgeted, every script questioned before it shipped.
Result
Lighthouse jumped from 92 to 99. Mobile checkout completion up 19% — turns out fast checkouts get finished.

Studio Kilat is two people. Amira leads design — brand systems built to hold up outside a deck. Wei writes every line of code by hand, obsessive about the milliseconds between click and paint. They share a desk, a coffee habit, and one rule: if it's slow, it's not done.
